Tiramolla Loft Bedrooms

tiramolla-kidsloftbedroom.jpg
Loft beds can easily be seen as the grown-up interpretation of the bunk bed and when a simple loft bed is transformed into a loft bedroom, the results are quite interesting and fun. The Tiramolla Loft bedrooms, by Tumidei, are not only innovative but cool as heck.

Tumidei states, "Composing to the infinity without limits this is our philosophy base for the Tiramolla project. Through a structure of tubes and aluminum moulds, all your fantastic space mounts as a game, freeing the fantasy with the use of 33 colors, 6 melamines, 8 colors of metal and 6 colors of methacrylates..."

Well, we don't know about all that but we do like the idea of not putting limits on the amount of space you can get out of a room.

The accessories for the sets also include mirrors and wall stickers. Talk about mix and match!

These are sooo cool. I'm going to be fitting 3 boys in one room as soon as the two older (4.5 & 2.5) are mature enough to share a room with their little brother (7 mo). So, I may use some of these ideas.

soooo awesome! like lizzykewl, i will need to fit my three boys all in one room - when they outgrow their cribs. loft beds are my dream, to maximize the floor space, but i have a feeling we should start playing the lottery if we want something as cool as these.

wow! these are amazing! My husband and I have two boys and I've been forever searching for ideas like these. Same as you pyjammy, I've been dreaming of having a loft bed or something similar but I want to build my own :)

i just found out the collection is available at Roche-Bobois.

which greatly reduces the chances that i can afford any of this :-(

I love these ideas but it doesn't really work in homes with lower ceilings, like ours. Would it ?

i went to roche bobois and the salesperson said those setups cost $8000.

so stupid.

they're incredibly expensive, but it's free to steal the idea. find a carpenter in your town (or buy a couple of tools) and re-create the shape you like using high-quality plywood. pick the colors you like, do a little painting, and voila -- it'll look great and cost a fraction. i built something similar using a mixture of ikea components (for the doors, etc.) and my trusty plywood.

I grew up in the 70s and I guess my neighbors were so ahead of the times because the 2 girls shared a bedroom and they had a setup (built by their father) very similar to the yellow hued photo...closet underneath the higher bed. I was only 8 or 9 and thought it was the coolest thing...still do :)

love these beds! I recently built a loft room for my 14 yr old son. Tiramolla inspired me so much to think about design, keeping it compact but not crowded, making sure things fit together and provided a good view as you walk into the room. I used 2x6 pine and plywood, spent a fraction of what Tiramolla costs. It feels very college dorm-like to him.
