All-White Nursery from Chic Shack
Ohdeedoh in Europe - London

chicshacknursery.jpgIf you're someone who responds to the calming power of an all-white room, take a look at this ethereal nursery from London's Chic Shack, which makes painted furniture for kids (and adults) that's inspired by 18th-century Swedish and French designs.

The room is fit for a little princess or prince. But as you can see here, a neutral room can be softened with warm beige, for example, and still retain a serene feel, allowing your baby and his or her motley assortment of brightly colored toys and outfits to provide the color.

Beautiful rooms. This is why I love white. If all those shades of white were turned into the shades of pink I so often see on every surface of a new baby girl's room, it would be cloying. Instead, it's fresh and serene all at once.
